How To Get Involved on Holy Ship! 8.0 2017

Positive Legacy, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, was created to expand the positive experiences of those attending Cloud 9 Adventures destination events around the globe. Positive Legacy’s mission is to create meaningful opportunities for musicians and fans to get involved in humanitarian and environmental outreach projects in the communities we travel to and inspire music fans and artists to take action.
Here are some ways you can get involved with the cause on Holy Ship! 8.0:

Day of Service & Community Connection with Positive Legacy

Monday 1/9 – Day 4 – 11 am – 2:30pm $40 (Meet at PL HQ on Deck 5)

Join Positive Legacy for a one-of-a-kind experience! The first ever Holy Ship! Day of Service and of Community Connection with our local partner, the Bahamas Children’s Emergency Hostel will take place on Day 4 of the cruise! Together, we will get our hands dirty with facility improvements and beautification. Projects will include site improvements, adding trees to their gardens and most importantly – some quality time to play with the kids! We will also be having a locally prepared lunch with the kids prior to getting started with our projects. Don’t miss out on this special day and a chance to say…I helped make a difference!! Get your tickets HERE!

Positive Legacy and Trees, Water & People make it easy to travel responsibly, by offsetting the emissions from your travel to the Dominican Republic for Holy Ship! 8.0. A $15 carbon offset donation will support a community tree nursery that is producing 10,000 trees a year for rural communities on the north coast of Haiti, providing fruit, improved soil quality, timber and the sequestration of thousands of tons of carbon dioxide emissions over their lifetimes. Partner Information

Positive Legacy continues our support of local Bahamas based partner, the Bahamas Children’s Emergency Hostel. Over the past several years, Holy Ship! passengers have donated supplies and enabled Positive Legacy to provide a grant of $6,825 to support needed food, supplies and provisions at the facility that houses approximately 35 children.

Established in 1962, the Bahamas Children’s Emergency Hostel provides temporary accommodation, food, clothing, medical care and other necessities for the benefit of abandoned and neglected children, until more permanent arrangements can be made for their welfare. The facility houses children aged six weeks to eleven years with an average length of residency at the Hostel of one year.

This year’s auction and day of service will help the facility to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Matthew and provide food, supplies and necessities at the facility – leaving a positive legacy for the children of Nassau far beyond our visit!

For more details on Positive Legacy programs and beneficiaries visit our headquarters anytime on Deck 5.
